One of the most frequently heard comments when handing out new "smart" Club Badges was, "Great! Now we don't have to stop and sign in before we go to a range." Unfortunatly, a number of Members are not scanning their badge when they enter because they follow another Member who opened the gate. The article "How the New Badge System Works" addressed this issue, since it was another commenly asked question. The answer to the question about following another car through the gate is simple, "Yes, but stop long enough to “flash” your badge. This logs you into the system. You don’t have to wait until the gate closes and reopen it." It 's not sufficient to scan your badge at one of the range-specific readers. You must scan your badge at the gate to enter. Again, you don't have to wait for the gate to close. Just stop long enough to hold your badge next to the reader and see the "white circle" indicating your scan is complete.
Scanning in is NOT optional and this is not a minor issue. For insurance purposes, the Club needs to have a record of people using Club facilities. If this continues, we may have to return to using the sign-in booth. None of us wants to do that, so let's work together to prevent a step backwards.
Respectfully,
PSC Board of Directors
We have had several requests from you, the members, for more steel pistol targets, specifically the hostage type with the alternating head and moving center. We purchased three additional sets of these targets and make the whole north side of the pistol cells (1-15) into steel targets only and the opposite (south) side cells into paper targets only. The exception will be cell 5 which will remain a paper target cell for those times when a shooter may need to check your zero on paper so you won’t have to go to the other side just for that. And of course cell 6 which is for SHOTGUNS ONLY. They should be installed in about three weeks.
As the steel targets are very popular and fun to shoot, more people will be shooting on the “steel side” which can create a parking issue, particularly in the 5-6 corner. We’re putting additional parking spots in front of Tin Can Alley and you can always park along the access road. Just please be mindful of where and how you park to make room for others. Park at 90 degrees to the road; i.e. no parallel parking.
Any questions or comments, feel free to email me.

In view of the ongoing issue with some SIG P320 handguns, the Board has made the decision to temporarily ban SIG P320 handguns from Club property. The PSC Shooting Club, Inc. does not have an opinion as to whether the SIG P320 is a defective product. We simply do not have the expertise. This decision is based upon the information available at this time. This temporary ban will be lifted if/when this issue has been resolved and safety of the P320 has been established.
This decision was not made lightly. The safety of our Members, their families and guests is paramount.
